Hormonal Disturbances

Hormonal Disturbances

The endocrine system produces hormones, which are chemicals. Hormones pass through the bloodstream to tissues and organs to instruct them. It occurs when there is an imbalance in the formation and distribution of hormones, such as too much or too little of them in the bloodstream. Our bodies function smoothly because of hormones. Little hormonal disturbances have profound consequences throughout the body.

Diagnosis and Treatment

Currently, doctors cannot diagnose a hormonal imbalance with a single test. You should schedule a physical exam with your doctor first. Describe your symptoms and the timeline along which they occurred. Make a list of all medication, vitamins, and supplements you’re taking. A hormonal birth control method may relieve some of these symptoms.  A healthy weight and adjusting exercise levels can also help.
