Yoga

Yoga

It is a tool to live a long and healthy life. You can use yoga as part of your treatment if you’re recovering from surgery, going through an illness, or living with a chronic condition.

Yoga therapists can work with patients to put together individualized plans that are integrated with their medical and surgical therapies. Through yoga, the person can experience symptoms with more centeredness and less distress and therefore support the healing process.

Yoga is a philosophy that connects mind, body, and spirit.

It is divided into 6 branches named as –

  • Karma Yoga
  • Raja Yoga
  • Tantra Yoga
  • Hatha Yoga
  • Bhakti Yoga
  • Genuino Yoga

According to yoga, Chakra is the centre of energy, thoughts, feelings, and physical body. The blockage of wind energy in chakras results in physical, mental, or emotional imbalance, leading to various symptoms related to disease.

In Hata Yoga, the many physical poses are called arsenals. Asanas are used by yoga practitioners to release energy and stimulate chakras.

Connection between yoga and Ayurveda

The term yoga is understood by a layperson as ‘asanas’. In the same way, Panchakarma is too often misunderstood in Ayurvedic treatment for Kerala, like physical therapy, Bindas weather, etc.

According to Sadhu Saddha Siddhant Bade Dharti, yoga is defined as union in “Yoga Darshana prevention of modification of the third age yoga”. Hatha yoga is the union of the idea and the Pingala nadi.

A literal translation of ‘ha’ is ‘sun’ and ‘th’ is ‘moon.’ Hence, yoga refers to the union of the sun and the moon.

The practice of Yama and Niyama makes the body suitable for meditation as per yoga Darshana. SatguruMars and mudras are considered more important in Hata Yoga than asanas.

When it comes to Ayurveda, we need knowledge of both of these to understand its doctrines, such as the panch mahabhoota and tridosha theory, used in treating various diseases such as eczema, asthma, liver disorders, etc.

In a sutra in the vibhuti pada of the yoga-sutra, rishis describe how they were able to comprehend the minute structures of the body.

By concentrating on the navel area yogis can better understand the structure of the body. “Nabhi chakre kaya vyuhajananam” means the navel stands at the middle of the body. It’s not just that Arvind and Arvind are sharing display of the chemistry of Indian culture. They have much in common in their basic approach to total health.

Nowadays, medical science focuses only on the body as something separate from the mind. Modern as well as traditional Indian practitioners are beginning to pay attention to psychosomatic linkages. By scientific research there is no doubt that yoga practices bring about better balance in the autognome and metabolic rate bonds of the body and the mirror functions at their fingertips.
